Hopi Yellowware Open Bowl with Four Rainbows, Nampeyo, c. 1915

Description

This open bowl features an extraordinary design by Nampeyo of four rainbows on a feathered background. The bowl was traditionally made and fired and dates to c. 1915. It features Nampeyo’s extra coil on the rim and it is in excellent condition without repair or restoration.


Old White label on the Base reads: “Hopi Nampeyo.” Measures 2 ½” high by 7 ¾” in diameter.
