Description
Large Hopi storage Jar by Nampeyo/Fannie. This storage jar molded by Nampeyo and painted by Fannie, dates to the 1920’s and features a beautiful abstracted bird. Notice how the realistic bird is echoed in the bold black abstraction of a bird in the second panel.
This historic jar measures 10” high by 11” in diameter. It is in excellent original condition with no repairs and features an elegant 4-pointed star design around the mouth, typical of Nampeyo’s designs.
