Description
Yellowware Seed Jar by Nampeyo, c. 1910
This Yellowware seed jar – a classic example of the Sikyatki revival – features avian motifs in brilliant black and orange pigments. The light, yellow slip has a nice blush, and the form is balanced and appealing. This is an excellent example of Nampeyo’s legacy in Hopi pottery tradition.
This piece measures 4 ½” in height by 8 ½” in diameter, and is in original condition.
