Description
This fetish necklace is an iconic example of fine Zuni carving c.1940, featuring over 60 elegant, hand-carved bird fetishes interspersed between traditional white clamshell heishe beads. It is finished with a traditional Pueblo wrap without a clasp and measures 31″ around. A complex, wearable piece of classic Zuni craftsmanship. Excellent original condition. Carver unknown.
