Description
Over time, Nathan Begaye (Hopi-Navajo) has emerged as one of the most innovative potters of the last century. During his career, he produced a wide variety of forms and styles. This sculptural piece dates from the 1980s when he was studying figures. This dog is finely stone polished and traditionally fired. It is in excellent condition and measures 13 1/2″ height. An exceptional large example by a master artist.
