Description
An iconic piece by Helen Shupla (1918-1985) of Santa Clara Pueblo, this jar’s undulating “melon” form and high-shine stone polish are excellent examples of the artist’s mature style for which she achieved a well-deserved reputation as a master-potter. This piece measures 6″ high by 8 1/2″ in diameter and is in excellent condition. Clearly signed by the artist. A great addition to any collection of work by the Pueblo matriarchs. See also p4726.
