Description
This masterful polychrome bowl features the Crow Mother Kachina with ornate details on her regalia, flanked by two flowers. The exterior of the bowl is decorated in four panels of Sikyatki diamond designs and fret spirals, making great use of negative space and leaving the piece balanced and harmonious. The yellowware piece bares a nice blush and polish, and is well fired. This is a newly fired piece by Nyla Sahmie and a rare example of a more moderately-sized piece by the artist, who tends to create larger works.
This piece measures 2 ½” in height by 9” in diameter and is signed by the artist.
