This vibrant Hopi tableta features a stylized Butterfly Girl framed by stepped architectural elements and radiating forms, symbolizing clouds, rain, and directional movement. Painted in bold mineral pigments of turquoise, red, yellow, and black, the composition is animated by strong geometric symmetry and finely detailed linework. Peacock feathers accent the eyes, adding dimensionality and ceremonial presence, while additional feathers extend from the perimeter, enhancing the sense of motion and spiritual energy.
This piece measures 19” high by 16 ½” wide and is in excellent condition.
