Description
This is a three-lobed Acoma canteen by traditional master-potter Juana Lena. The form and design of this canteen were inspired by prehistoric Tularosa examples. It is handmade of native Acoma clay and pit fired outdoors in the traditional fashion and is signed by the artist.
The piece measures 5″ height and 13″ diameter. This is a masterpiece-level example of traditional Pueblo pottery inspired by ancient pottery, and made by a master Acoma potter.
