Description
This Acoma polychrome canteen dates to about 1910-1920. The canteen has a classic double bird design that is encircled by a floral design. The large stomach of the canteen and its rounded shape is an indicator of its early age. The canteen was traditionally fired, as evidenced by a fire cloud near its base. The canteen measures 8 1/4″ height, 7 1/2″ diameter, and 7 1/2″ depth, and is in excellent, original condition. An excellent example of historic Acoma pottery.
