Description
Classic traditional helmet stew bowl with an extraordinary design. The center design features the interlocking friendship design floating on stippled feathers or on the red background. This central round design is a traditional early Walpi design. It is surrounded by four floral elements from traditional Zuni designs. The rim design features an abstraction of a repeating pattern of a cloud admiring its own reflection. A nice example of Nampeyo updating traditonal designs in a new way.
It measures 4 ½” high by 10” in diameter and is in original condition without repair.
